Everest Base camp and Labuche peak climbing trek

If you are interested of climbing on small mountain along with trekking in Everest base camp, choose Everest base camp and Labuche climbing. According to this program, you will first visit Everest base camp and Kalapather and then you will descent and go to Labuche peak for climbing. If you first go to Everest base camp, you will be acclimatized and it helps to climb Island peak climbing easily. If you first go to Everest base camp trek and then climb Labuche peak climbing, you can make it happen because you will have already been acclimatized . If you visit Everest Base camp and climb the Labuche peak, you don’t only enjoy looking the magnificent scene of many snow-capped mountains including the world’s highest mountain, you will also get experience of climbing small peak at the same journey.

In this program you will see the gorgeous views of more than twenty-five White Mountains including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nupste, Pumari, Island Peak, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Thamserku, and other mountains. More importantly, you will enjoy looking  the moraine and melting glacier in Everest base camp . The mean to go to Everest base camp is to see the Base camp of Everest, observe the  melting Ice-Clift and  Khumbu glacier as well as Khumbu ice fall. Likewise, the reason to climb up to Kalapather is to see the magnificent views of sunrise, and mountains. The views of stunning  mountains are not only the attractions of the Everest base camp trek, the  Himalaya deciduous and coniferous forest with the pine trees and rhododendron flowers and wild animals are also attraction.  Besides, the Himalaya village with the monasteries, sputa and praying flags   attracts  the tourist . Everest base camp trek and Island peak climbing begins after a short flight for Lukla through the Himalayan range .The goes following  the Dudh Koshi River until you reach bottom of Namche Bazaar. After that, the trail gradually goes up to the Khumbu valley,  following the up and down hill.

Daily Itinerary:

Day 1 : Arrival at airport in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel, a short brief about program.

Day 2 : Drive to Ramechhap Airport

We will go to the Ramechhap airport by drive about 3-4 hours.

Day 3 :Fly to Lukla 2800m and trek to Phakding ( 2600m)

We will fly to Lukla looking snow-covered Himalaya range. After half an hour flight the Everest base camp trek begins and it goes up and down through the villages.

Day 4: Trek to Namche bazaar. 3500m

We will follow the Dhudh Koshi River through the forest and village until we reach Hillary Bridge or lap of Namche bazzar. After crossing the windy and deep bridge we will ascent to Namche Bazzar through the forest.

Day 5: Rest day/ Acclimatization day.

We will hike around Syangboche for acclimatization and for the magnificent views of Amadablam, Mt Everest and others snow-capped mountains. We will, at the same day, visit the Khumjung and Khunde valley where the school and hospital are built up by Sir, Edmun Hillary.

Day 6: Trek to Tyangbuche or Dibuche  4000m.

The trek goes up and down making a tower to Amadablam. We have to be careful when the yaks pass by because the trekkers and yaks have to follow the same trail. From this day we will see busier road. However, the heart-beating views of beautiful snow-capped mountains never make you boring. We will have to cross the bridge after descending through the Himalaya pine trees, and then we will be ascending up to Tangbuche where the big and old monastery is located. The climber gets blessed at the monastery.

Day 7:  Trek to Dingbuche 4400m.

We will go through the forest and light shadow trail until we cross the bridge. After crossing the bridge we will gradually go up to Dingbuche .

Day 8:  Rest and acclimatization day   in Dingbuche

It is good to have one day extra for acclimatization. You will hike up to view point  around Dingbuche and to Chhukung valley for acclimatization and views that will ensure your Everest base camp trek and hiking to Kalapatther.

Day 9: Trek to Labuche 4900m

Your trek goes up to Labuche making Amadablam in your back and towering to Pumari.

Day 10: Trek to Goraksep 5100

You will trek on moraine towering to Pumari, Mt-Everest and Nuptse After having lunch in Goraksep you will hike to Everest base camp to see a beginning point of Everest expedition team and Everest glacier.

Day 11: Trek down to Labuche 4900m.

In the early morning you will climb up to Kalapatther for heart-beating views of Mt-Everest,Lhotse, Nuptse and other snow covered mountain. You can see the world’s highest mountain Mt-Everest being face to face from Kalapatther. No matter even if you are unable to get to top of Kalather for view of Mt-Everest that you can still see good view of Mt-Everest from the half way to top. After this you will descent to Labuche following the same way.

Day 12 Preparation for Labuche Peak climbing 4900m

Day 13:   Labuche summit and Get back to Pheruche 4400m

From today we will be specially focusing for submit of Labuche peak. We will have to sleep in tent and have the hot meal cooked by climbing staff. Perhaps, we may feel abnormal sleeping and eating because sleeping in tent and eating food prepared by climbing staff will be a new practice for us.

If we succeed to get to the summit on the same day, we will decent to Chukkung and the spare day will be reserved for rest of the trip such as Ammalapcha  pass, and Mera peak.
Day 14Trek to Namche bazaar 3500m

Trek goes down to Namche Bazzar following the same way.

Day 16: Trek to Lukla 2800m

Trek to Lukla following the same way that you followed to ascent.

Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu

Day 18: Sightseeing around world heritage site in Kathmandu and shopping  

Day 19 : Departure to motherland

Day 12Dingbuche  to Chhukkung 4730m.

We will go to chhukkung valley which is a gate way to Island peak climbing and and Ambulapcha  pass. Chukkung valley is also an entry and exit point of three pass trekking. Chhukkung valley is the last places with the hotel and accommodation so the climbers prepare the logistic requirement for peak climbing and Ambulapcha pass.

Day 13:  Chhukung to Island peak base camp 5090m (O/N tent) (3-4hr)

Day 14 : Summit day to decent to Chhukung! (Starts early morning 2.30AM) Back to B.C ( 6-8hr) and decent to Chhukung .

The climber has to walk on and climb up on the crevasses somewhere. Though the climber has to climb up through the crevasses the climbing slop is in 45-55 degree. We will see the views of Makalu and others mountains very closely.

Day 15:  Spare day! If weather is bad!

If we succeed to get to the summit on the same day, we will decent to Chukkung and the spare day will be reserved for rest of the trip such as Ammalapcha  pass, and Mera peak.
Day 16Trek to Namche bazaar 3500m

Trek goes down to Namche Bazzar following the same way.

Day 17: Trek to Lukla 2800m

Trek to Lukla following the same way that you followed to ascent.

Day 18: Fly back to Kathmandu

Day 19: Sightseeing around world heritage site in Kathmandu and shopping
