Though Kanchenjunga Base camp trek is a full of stunning views, the less number of tourists visit. Kanchenjunga is the third tallest mountain in the world and second highest mountain in Nepal, after Mt. Everest, with an elevation of 8,586 meter. It is located in the north-east part of Nepal and on the border between Nepal and Sikkim. There are five peaks in Kanchenjunga Himalaya range and two of fives are West and Kangbachen) are located in Nepal while remaining two peaks Main, Central, and South are directly on the border.

In Kanchenjunga Base camp trek, you can see KanchenJunga mountain, with the height of 8586 m , KanchenJunga south with the height of 8476 m, KanchenJunga center with the height of 8473m, and Yalung kang with the height of 8505 , Kangbachen the with the height of 7902m, Nepal peak with the height of 6353 m and 7177 m respectively, Kirat Chuli with the height of 7362m, Kumbhakarna mountain with the height of 7710m and many more . Limbu community which is one of the ethnics of Nepal and who follows the Kirat religion calls Phoktanglungma in Limbu Langauage to Kumbhakarna mountain and they worships to Kumbhakarna mountain believing as a god.

KanchenJunga region is to Rai and Limbu communities who follow the kirat religion. Not only the Mountains, Rai and Limbu culture can also be observed in In Kanchenjunga Base camp trek. As Rai and Limbu are ethnic of Nepal, they have own mother languages and cultural ceremony of birth, marriage and death. Sakela dance is one cultural dance of Rai community which is celebrated twice a year by playing the drums in the circle in which the Rai community wears the traditional dress and ornament . The interesting thing is that, in the  circle,  Rai dances  acting of  the bird and wildlife. In the Sakela dance, the Rai community prays to the nature not to have dry, flood, landslide. The important of Sakela dance is that, the Rai community prays to the nature to have good harvest and crops . Likewise, Limbu community celebrates the Yalang and Kelang Dance. Kelang Dance (Dan Nach) is celebrated by shacking hand between man and women and singing the typical  song of Limbu which is known as Palam. Kelang Dance is never celebrated by shacking hand beteen man and women who fall in the blood generation and between closed relative. The typical song of Limbu which is known as Palam is related to love , life, work and death. Kelang dance is celebrated by playing the drums in the circle in which those who dancer acts of  the bird and animal. Besides, Sherpa, Tamang, Gurung, Magar, Ksetri communities also live in the area of KanchenJunga base campm  ,except Rai and Limbu.

Flora and fauna :
KanchenJunga base camp trek is rich of Flora and fauna. You can see the wild animal like red panda, monkey, deer, bear and different kind of birds. Like wise, you will see different kinds of plants and flower including the rhododendron.

Temple and Monastery :

Pathibhara temple is a famous hindhu temple of Kanchenjunga region. Many hindu devotees come Pathibhara temple to worship from long distance. Pathibhara temple is situated at the altitude of 3795 m from the sea level . The temple is at the top of hill from where you can see the panoramic scene of Kanchenjunga mountains range. Not only the Pathibhara temple, the monasteries belonging to Buddhist can be also seen from the the path to Kanchenjunga base camp trek.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and briefing about journey
Day 2: Preparation for trekking
Day 3 : Fly to Bhadrapur and and drive to ILam
Day 4: Drive to Taplejung
Day 5: Taplejung to Chirwa
Day 6: Chirwa to Lelep 1650m
Day 7: Lelep to Amjilasa 2498m
Day 8 : Amjilasa to Gyabla 2725m
Day 9 : Gyabla to Ghunsa 3415m
Day 10 : Acclimatization day
Day 11: Ghunsa to Khambachen 4145m
Day 12: Rest in Khambachen . We will walk up to see the views.
Day 13 : Khambachen to Lhonak 4792m
Day 14 : Walk to the half way or Kanchenjunga North base camp (5140m) and get back to Lhonak and overstay.
Day 15 : Lhonak to Ghunsa
Day 16 : Ghunsa to Sele-Le
Day 17: Sele-Le to Cheram
Day 18: Day hike to Kanchenjunga South base camp from Cheram
Day 19: Cheram to Toronding
Day 20: Torongding to Yamphudin
Day 21: Yamphudin to Khebang
Day 22: Drive to Bhadrapur
Day 23: Fly to Kathmadu
Day 24: Rest day
Day 25 : Departure
