Position: Managing Director.
Surya Mani Rai is a managing director of Journey Point Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd. He began his career as a assistant in trekking when he was 16 years old. After working as a trekking assistant for some time, he got trained to be a guide and worked as a guide for a quite long time. Mr. Surya got the depth theoretical and practical knowledge about how to organize the tour, trekking and mountaineering in a safe and professional way. At the same time, he also developed an entrepreneurship skill. Because of the theoretical and practical knowledge as well as entrepreneurship skills related to the tourism business, he legally established the trekking agency in Nepal. The managing director had already established the trekking agency in the partnership model before incorporating Journey Point Treks and Tours company. The old trekking agency has been already closed and Journey Point Treks and Tours is in operation in one soled share holder trekking company.Since tourism is a season-based work in Nepal, he continued further study. Working in the trekking, tours and mountaineering in the main seasons, he studied a post-graduate degree in Economics having tourism economics as a major subject, at a very young age. Besides, he also studied post-graduate degree in Law ( Master degree in Law-LLM). Mr. Surya believes in neither the human being exists nor the tourism activity can be carried if the environment is damaged. Therefore, he advocates in the issues of environment and climate change . He provides the legal aid for free to the poor and disabled people. Similarly, he sues and pleads the cases related to the public interest litigation, in the court of Nepal. Likewise, Mr. Surya has the work experience of research activities conducted in issues of tourism and social-economic . Furthermore, he has worked as a research consultant for the external monitoring and evaluation (M & E) of different projects, Baseline and End line surveys, need assessment and impact assessment. In addition to this, Mr. Surya has worked as a tourism expert to formulate the tourism master plan, and as an economist to make the periodic plan for local government. He has good knowledge about the qualitative, quantitative and mixed-method which are applied for the research work. He sometimes goes for trekking, tour and mountaineering either at the beginning or end of the season to understand the fact of trekking destination. At last, the journey of life which began as an assistant in trekking has been changed into a professional tour operator.

2. Saraswati Khaling.
Position: Corresponding officer.
Saraswati is responsible to answer the question and quires of clients. Having come from the Makalu region, Saraswati has been working in this trekking agency for more than four years. Working as a corresponding officer, she has been pursuing her further study . She has been to many trekking destinations and she sometime goes for trekking in different trekking destinations in order to collect the real fact if any changed. She is now 23 year old.

3. Karuna Limbu
Position: Administration Manager.
Karuna Limbu is from Kanchenjunga region. She is responsible for management of the hotel, transportation and equipment needed for trekking, travelling and climbing. She has been to Kanchenjunga area many times. According to myth and belief of her religion, Kumbhakarna , a range of Kanchenjunga Himalaya is believed as a god . She says that Kanchenjunga Himalaya is called Phoktanglungma in Limbu Language and Phoktanglungma is god of Limbu community . She is also responsible for keeping the account of sales and expenditure. She has been working in this trekking agency for more than four years.

4. Abhishek Limbu.
Position: Operation manager.
Abhishek is fully responsible for filed work. He arranges the guide, porter and other needed staffs. His responsibility is also to take care and keep the track of the client from the date of arrival to departure. Likewise, he is also responsible for safety and security management. He, sometime, goes to trek with the client, at the end of trekking season.

Journey Point Treks and Tours never compromises in safety and security. We do believe that if only the life is secured , the trekking, travelling and mountaineering or any kinds of adventurous activities make happy and worthy holiday. We are concerned about if the life of men survives, then only the men hikes and treks, and nobody wants to visit compromising the safety and security. Therefore, we always emphasize to the safety and security of tourist, trekking guide and porter. The followings are our safety and security policy:
- Risk Assessment: Before to depart for trekking, tour and mountaineering or any kinds of adventure activities, we always do risk assessment. We fully analysis the status of road for travelling, trekking route, mountaineering route, weather, means to access to the tourism destination, availability of tourism infrastructure such accommodation and food. And, we inform to clients about existing status of the tourism destination.
- Management for rescue : We will be always in the readiness to evacuate the tourist and field staff in case of necessary. Depending on the geographical structure, weather condition and physical condition, we recuse by means of helicopter, jeep, car or carrying by men.
- Insurance: Insurance is important for any kind of adventures activities. We always make the insurance of the trekking guide and porter. Likewise, we do advise to the tourist to make the travel insurance before leaving for journey. Nobody knows about the accident which may happen in the future. If any anything happened, the insurance helps to cover the cost occurred from the evacuation. Therefore, we would like to kindly request to each tourist to make the travel insurance which must cover the minimum cost of twenty five thousand for trekking and up to the height of 5600m . You must have different insurance for mountaineering because the cost of rescue from the above 5600m or from mountaineering is expensive and the government of Nepal some time issues the directive about insurance for mountaineering.
